The Universal Painting Project exists to fortify the notion that Jackson Pollock is indeed one of mankind's greatest creatives by creating an Artwork that has universal appeal and significance.

The painting to the right is entitled #32 and will be the foundation of this Project.

In it's first year (March 2006 - March 2007), the U. P. Project looks to gain the permission of the Pollock Estate to work with Pollock's painting #32 through the collaboration of creatives from around the world.

This art for the people by the people begins with the drip painting on the bottom right. The first example is a scene that takes place in orbit. Imagine you are an astronaut floating in space - looking back at Earth from just above the moon.

The viewer stares at the abstract pattern of the drip painting. Just as images and scenes play themselves out in clouds, so too do they emerge from the drips.

Like a fancy coloring book, all are invited to color in the areas so as to reveal their unique visions.

Submit your extraction - which will be posted here on the site and will be the compelling element in the proposal to the Pollock Estate.
